Look at me now

This is my first blog, I call it "Look at me now"...

I decided to start my own blog to express what I feel and show my opinion on things that matter to me. If you do not know me, you might see me as very shy and soft spoken. But if you get to know me better, you will see that I am definitely not shy and soft spoken.

So here it goes, my first topic is about body building. As we all know, lots of people dream of having a great body. It doesn't matter if you're a girl or a boy. Everybody wants to have a great body. I just started lifting weights and I would tell you, it feels great. Every time I come home from gym, I feel something has changed. The pain I feel the next day only shows that the work I did was getting me somewhere.

I remember the second time I went to the gym, I saw a banner that said "Pain is weakness leaving the body". I love that quote, because it not only relates to the pain that I feel after lifting weights but I can also relate to what I felt a few months back. I won't share it on this blog because its kinda personal. lol.

Anyway, I will now discuss what I do in the gym. I normally work out 3 times a week, that's Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. I usually do 3 body parts each day. If its not my back, biceps and shoulders then it will be my chest, triceps and shoulders. The reason I do shoulders every time I hit the gym is because I want my shoulders to look big like Dwight Howard.

Now you might be thinking that I should have a great body by now. But that is not the case, it might take at least 6 - 8 months to get the body you want. So in a few months, we will see if there are any improvements. If you want specifics on what I do exactly, you can search it on youtube. Just search for Scott Herman Fitness. Follow the steps he does then hope that you would have the same body. lol.

Unfortunately, lifting weights is not enough. You need to have activities that will really get you to sweat. For instance, I play basketball every Tuesdays and Fridays. And I use the exercise bike for at least 5 minutes after lifting weights. Also, walking helps, if you have a chance to walk a few kilometers instead of riding a Jeepney or Tricycle then it would be great. Anything that would make you use your legs will really help. So don't hesitate to walk if the weather is good. If its not to sunny and not raining then go for it.

Now lets talk about diet, what I normally eat is Century Tuna's Solid in Water. Some steamed chicken breast and sweet potato. However, its hard to stay on this diet because you will really get tired of the taste because there's none. lol. I believe if you can eat like this for at least 6 months, then you can say goodbye to body fat. However, I always have my cheat day or should I say cheat meal. I eat whatever I want and as much as I can. I feel guilty afterward but its all worth it. By the way, don't forget to eat food with lots of fiber. This is very important, so if you get hungry, eating oatmeal or fruits with high fiber is not a bad idea.

My last topic would be the most important part of body building. That would be the reason why you want to have a great body. Why you are doing this and what drives you. Most would say, because of what happened in the past or health issues. But what you really need is the determination to get to your goal. If you are not determined to be healthy or to stay fit then you would not last long. If you are doing this just because your lonely then when your happy again then you'll just stop. So if you want to work out then be determined to reach your goal and never look back on the things that you might miss because when you reach your goal, better things will come.

That's it for my first ever blog. Next time I will try to add pictures. Have a great one.
